Alcohol-free sparkling wine is a sparkling wine from which the alcohol has been removed in a particularly gentle way after production. Despite the lack of alcohol, it remains a truly enjoyable product – with fine bubbles, a balanced structure, and a complex interplay of aromas. Technically speaking, alcohol-free sparkling wine is based on the same processes as classic sparkling wine: grape harvest, fermentation, aging, and fermentation. Only then does dealcoholization follow.

The alcohol is then extracted using one of the following processes:

Vacuum distillation:
In this process, the wine is gently heated under reduced pressure. This lowers the boiling point of the alcohol, allowing it to escape at a lower temperature. Aromas and sensory properties are largely preserved—ideal for fine sparkling wines with an elegant flavor profile.

Reverse osmosis:
In this process, the wine is passed through special membranes. Small molecules such as alcohol and water pass through, leaving larger aromatic compounds behind. After the alcohol is removed, the water is added back to preserve the original sparkling wine character as much as possible.
