Non-alcoholic wine is just normal wine - just without alcohol. It is vinified from classic grape varieties, as known from the traditional wine world. Only then is the alcohol removed particularly gently using modern processes such as vacuum evaporation or spinning cones - without heat and without loss of aroma. The result: a real wine with origin, character and depth - just alcohol-free. You taste the difference. But not in a negative sense.

The most authentic results are delivered by dealcoholized quality wines that were initially fermented normally and only then gently lose the alcohol. Pay attention to clear grape variety information, dry to semi-dry and notes such as barrique or reserve (more structure). Tip: Start with typical classics such as Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot.

In Germany, “alcohol-free” means ≤ 0.5% vol. There are also “0.0%” wines with no detectable alcohol. For most people, ≤ 0.5% is physiologically safe; If you are pregnant or completely abstaining from alcohol, choose 0.0% or speak to a medical professional.

It is pressed and fermented in the normal way - only then is the alcohol removed using vacuum distillation, reverse osmosis or spinning cone at low temperatures. This means that aromas, acidity, color and tannins are largely retained. The wine is then stabilized and bottled.

There are many dry versions. Pay attention to the flavor information (dry) and to grape varieties that taste clear and firm even without alcohol (e.g. dry Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir). Product texts often provide information about tannins and acidity.
