One alcohol-free alternative to natural wine, which breaks down all conventional thinking: Balade Minérale Blanc from Fruitslagers combines wild fermented organic grapes with maritime botanicals to create a new, salty-mineral taste experience. Chardonnay and Pecorino are not simply dealcoholized - but rather fermented, infused, clarified and served with a fine sparkling effect.
The texture is reminiscent Natural wine, the scent of sea breeze: oyster shells, dulse algae and Douglas fir needles provide depth while the citrusy freshness of the grapes is retained. On the palate it appears complex and surprisingly dry - with light bubbles and subtle acidity.
Perfect as an aperitif, with oysters, raw fish or salty cheese.
